This past fall I had the chance to photograph a senior very dear to my heart! She made everything so easy! We had a lot of fun and worked around the very BRIGHT sun!

2013 Western Iowa Bridal Showcase
I'm so excited to be a vendor at this year's bridal show in Denison, Iowa - the 2013 Western Iowa Bridal Showcase. It will take place this Sunday, February 24th from 1-4pm at the Boulders Conference Center.
Wedding season is in full force and I absolutely love it! I enjoy being able to help brides with their wedding stationery while working within a budget comfortable for them. Too many times I hear brides say that they spend the most money on their wedding dress and their invitations. Unfortunately, I can't help much with the dress, but I'm all about helping brides not break the bank when it comes to their wedding invitations and other stationery.

It's K • Meyering Design's 5 Year Anniversary! It's hard to believe, but five years ago I began this business and have enjoyed every minute of it! Because of this special occasion, and with the holidays just around the corner, I wanted to share a new design and special that I am offering through the end of the year. I realize it's not even Thanksgiving but I know a lot of shoppers like to get their Christmas shopping done early! I'm the same way...although it never works out as planned!

The Boekelman's
Over Labor Day weekend I was able to photograph my dear cousins Rachel and Jordan. What naturals! They made my job easy! It was a perfect overcast day and we found some great locations in northwest Iowa. I thought I would share a few shots from the session. Enjoy!

I've always loved the 'Footprints in the Sand' poem and the meaning behind it. I can't tell you how many times those words have put me at ease in my life. What a great comfort knowing that the Lord is always with us, looking after us and carrying us when we have rough patches in our lives and may feel that we cannot go on. It emphasizes the Father's never-ending love and faithfulness.
I don't know about others, but I do know that I have had a lot of trouble finding this poem in a modern medium. Like always, I told myself that someday I would sit down and design a print - and finally I found the time! Rather than the traditional shot of a sandy beach or sky, I took a different approach and placed the emphasis and focus on the text, giving it a more contemporary look. I love typography! If you look closely, you'll see the one set of footprints.

Cover Contest
Professional Photographers of America is having their annual Magazine Cover Contest. I thought it would be fun to enter one of my photos for the contest.
I had a lot of different choices from landscape, babies, graduating seniors, couples, etc and I decided to go with a photo of Bella. The simplicity of the photo with the vivid fall colors made it stand out to me. Plus, I can't lie, I'm a little biased because it's Bella of course!

A Panoramic View!
One of my favorite places in Northern Minnesota is this cove known as Little Two Harbors. To the left of the sailboat, way in the distance, you can see Split Rock Lighthouse and the island in the middle is Ellingson Island.
This panorama is made up of four individual photos I captured and then stitched together and edited for the final print.
In the photo below, it shows and explains what used to be here at Little Two Harbors. Very interesting place to visit!
